Endera Delivers Zero-Emission Electric Shuttle to Redwood Coast Transit Authority

Fleet Addition Brings Zero-Emission Service to the Crescent City Area Through the CalACT/MBTA Purchasing Cooperative

Crescent City, California — August 2026 — Endera, a leading manufacturer of specialty paratransit vehicles, is proud to announce the delivery of a new zero-emission electric bus to Redwood Coast Transit Authority on August 6, 2026. The bus was procured through the CalACT/MBTA Purchasing Cooperative, a federal and California State compliant cooperative purchasing program that streamlines vehicle acquisition for transit agencies across California.

The newly delivered electric vehicle is a 24-foot Endera EV configured for either 16 passengers or 10+2 with a front lift and will be placed into service in the Crescent City area. This strengthens Redwood Coast Transit Authority’s fixed-route network.

"We are proud to partner with Redwood Coast Transit Authority to deliver zero-emission vehicles that will make a real difference for riders in the area," said John Walsh, CEO, Endera. "Delivering through the CalACT/MBTA cooperative allows agencies like Redwood Coast Transit Authority to access high-quality, competitively priced vehicles without the burden of a lengthy individual procurement process, so communities get the transit solutions they need faster."

About the CalACT/MBTA Purchasing Cooperative

The CalACT/MBTA Purchasing Cooperative is the largest transit vehicle purchasing cooperative of its kind in the United States, serving more than 300 member agencies throughout California. Administered by the Morongo Basin Transit Authority (MBTA) on behalf of the California Association for Coordinated Transportation (CalACT), the cooperative provides member agencies with a federal and California State compliant purchasing solution for transit vehicles and related equipment.

By leveraging the collective buying power of its membership, the CalACT cooperative saves agencies the time and expense of conducting individual competitive procurements, while ensuring vehicles meet rigorous quality and compliance standards. CalACT performs thorough research, including onsite production and drivability audits, to ensure that manufacturers on the contract deliver high-performing, reliable solutions. The cooperative oversees the purchase of more than 800 buses annually across California.

“Redwood Coast Transit Authority is proud to welcome our first all-electric bus, delivered by Endera and operated by Transdev.”  said Joe Rye, Executive Director, Redwood Coast Transit Authority. “This milestone represents our commitment to providing clean, reliable, and sustainable transportation for the Redwood Coast community. We extend our appreciation to Endera for delivering this innovative zero-emission bus that will help us achieve a cleaner transportation future.
